1. I am sending you under separate cover drawings showing station arrangements for Kowloon Terminus as suggested by Mr A.J. Barry when in the Colony.
2. The scheme consists of a platform with two faces, one for arrival and the other for departure. The lines are arranged so as to be easily altered and pro- longed when required by the extensions show in your scheme for a station at Teim Tsa Tsui. The present arrival line can be produced straight on and the present departure line can he produced to correspond to the third line in the extended scheme.
3. In order to take up only as much frontage on Robinson Road as would be required for the extended scheme "A" I have placed the Station Master and Assistant Station Master's offices on the platfon as well as firet and second class ladies waiting rooms. The third class passengers I have accommodated in a large hall fronting Robinson Road with a ticket office attached, I propose to keep the third class passengers enclosed in this hall and not let them wander about the platform till a fixed time before the train is due to stert. Tickets will be
checked on leaving this hall. The ladies' waiting roums will be opposite the centre of the train where the first and second class carriages will be placed.
4. Owing to the weather conditions I propose to cover over a length of platform face of 210 feet, this will reach over the first class carriages.
